Port of Galveston cruise terminals: which one is yours

The Port of Galveston has four cruise terminals, and all of them are on Harborside Drive. Before you leave home, look at your boarding documents. They name the terminal, and the port's own web pages don't always agree on which line uses which building.

The four terminals

Every address is in Galveston, TX 77550. Terminals 25 and 28 face each other across Harborside Drive.

Terminal 10: Royal Caribbean

Royal Caribbean's terminal opened in 2022. The port calls it the first net-zero energy cruise terminal in the world. For the parking, stay on Harborside Drive and turn onto Royal Caribbean Way.

The North Premium Lot and the Pier 10 Lot are close enough to walk, so they have no shuttle. The North Lot is also a short walk along covered walkways. A shuttle runs from the North, South and Pier 14 lots.

Terminal 16: MSC and Norwegian

This is the newest of the four. It opened on November 7, 2025, with MSC Seascape as its first ship, and Norwegian Viva was scheduled to start there on December 13 that year. The building has two boarding bridges and its own parking garage.

The port lists a small lot two or three minutes' walk away, a larger economy lot, a premium lot and a covered garage by the VIP entrance. It says neither uncovered lot has a shuttle, so plan on walking with your bags or dropping them at the terminal first.

Terminals 25 and 28: Carnival and Disney

Terminal 25 used to be called Terminal 1, and Terminal 28 used to be Terminal 2. Older reviews and forum posts still use the old numbers.

Carnival sails mostly from Terminal 25 and Disney mostly from Terminal 28. The rest is less clear. One port page says Terminal 25 also handles some Disney sailings, and a port guide from September 2025 lists Carnival at Terminal 28 as well. If you are sailing Carnival, your boarding pass will tell you which of the two it is.

Margaritaville at Sea is due to join them in October 2027, with weekly Friday sailings from Terminal 28.

On the day

The port opens its facilities at 9 a.m. on most sailing days. It suggests arriving about three hours before your boarding time, which leaves room to park, catch a shuttle and check in. If your cruise line gives you a check-in slot, follow that instead.

You can drop your luggage at the terminal before you park. Porters take it from there and help again with bags on the way home.

Uber and Lyft both work at the port, but the port's website doesn't name a set pickup point. The Galveston Island Trolley doesn't stop at the port.
