Privacy policy

The short version. galvestoncruiseschedule.com is a static schedule site. There are no accounts, no logins, no newsletter and no forms, so there is nothing for you to submit and nothing for us to store about you. One analytics tool measures traffic in aggregate. That is the whole picture.

What we collect

Nothing you type, because there is nowhere to type anything. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or payment details, and we have no way to receive them.

Analytics

We use Clicky to understand which pages get read. It records the usual web analytics data: the pages you view, the page that referred you, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and your browser, screen size and language.

Clicky sets a first-party cookie so it can tell a returning visitor from a new one. It is not used for advertising, we do not build profiles, and the data is not sold or shared with anyone.

If you would rather not be counted, any of these work: enable your browser's Do Not Track setting, block cookies for this site, use an ad or tracker blocker, or read the site in a private window. Nothing on the site breaks if you do.

Links to cruise lines

"Check prices" links take you to a cruise line or travel retailer. Some may be affiliate links. See the affiliate disclosure. Once you follow one, you are on their site and their privacy policy applies, not ours. We pass no personal information to them; we cannot, because we hold none.

We record that outbound clicks happen, in aggregate, so we can tell which listings are useful. That count is not tied to an identity.

Server logs

The web server keeps standard access logs holding an IP address, timestamp, URL requested and browser string, which are used for security and debugging and rotate automatically. They are not combined with analytics data.

Your rights

If you are in the UK, EU, or a US state with a privacy statute, you have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. In practice we hold no record that identifies you, so there is generally nothing to retrieve or erase. The opt-outs above stop the analytics collection entirely.

Children

This site is intended for adults planning travel and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If we ever add a third party that collects more than the above, it will be listed here before it goes live.
